On May the 6th University of East London and their filmmaking students are proud to present, drumroll please ….. P.O.V. FILM FESTIVAL. A one and only with films contributed from filmmakers at UEL you know you’re in for a good time. The festival has been FULLY organised by The Wonderful Isabelle Tilli and was also invigorated by Veronica Maier.
We could not be more proud of them both as they did such a great job acquiring an amazing venue for all of us to get some drinks and to chat to the minds behind the movies that we will be watching.
Come down and network with artists that have a great passion for their craftsmanship and huge creative eagerness.
What can you expect to be happening on the day? The organisers have gave us an insight and here is what’s on the docket: at the start of the day we will be able to see films from filmmakers from outside of UEL whom mostly won at big festivals. Next we will be able to enjoy the first panel of speakers which will follow into a Q&A, after a short break the next panel with more filmmakers followed by a Q&A. Then we will see finished projects of all second year students from UEL and also creatives from UEL. Right after we will be having a Film Quiz with PRIZES! At 5 we will be having an award ceremony which is sure to to be missed. Then until 9 or until we will be throw out the cinema there will be networking drinks.
The scheduling will be posted soon on UEL’s social media and you will know what time to come, if you’re looking for something specific or just come for the full day and enjoy even more creativeness. This even is something really special, showcasing amazing films, filled with love for cinema, fun and also the best people all around.
I cannot stress enough how delighted we are about this happening, to watch our movies on the big screen and to talk to our great guests who have already won at big festival that we UEL students aspire to be at.
